YouTube tops among online video players

The latest report on video usage by UK broadband users from ComScore shows that YouTube has been the most favourite online video player with majority of the internet users in UK. According to the report, about 1.68 billion video clips out of 3.5 billion total video clips were viewed on YouTube platform. For the month of March, an average of 128 video clips per viewer was watched by more than 27 million UK broadband users.

BBC iPlayer which comes next to YouTube in terms of market share was used for viewing 42.4 million clips (1.2 % of total video clips). Fox Interactive Media (MySpace) and Microsoft had a market share of 0.9 % and 0.7 % respectively. Yahoo was placed in fifth place with a market share of 0.6 %.
