Wireless Broadband Innovation Awards (WBI) 2008 announced

The Wireless Broadband Innovation (WBI) which honour the wireless broadband providers and individuals for their outstanding contribution to wireless internet technology have announced the winners of the WBI awards for 2008.

Moovera Networks won Best Wi-fi service for its Moovbox M Series Mobile Broadband Gateway. WBI award for Best Wireless Broadband Mobility Solution went to UMA technology pioneered by Kineto Wireless. Fringland Ltd won this yearâ€™s Best VoIP Product for its fring VoIP service. Yoggie Security Systems bagged WBI Best Wireless Broadband Security Innovation Award for its Gatekeeper Pico Pro.

BT FON Global Wi-fi community project, the joint venture of BT broadband and FON was named the Most Innovative Wireless Broadband Company while the WiMAX Network of Castilla y Leon in Spain by Alvarion was honoured with WBI Best WIMAX Product Award.

Richard and Adrian Cunliffe, Founders BOZII Ltd won WBI award for their Individual Achievement in Wireless Broadband.
