WiMAX Broadband become increasingly Popular
The WiMAX mobile broadband internet network use for internet deployments has been emerging increasingly common across the world, according to fresh figures’ suggestions.
The figures were published by the WiMAX Forum following a research carried out by it on the context. The figures als
o suggested that more than 110 fresh projects were launched this year that employed this technology. This in its turn has taken the total deployment number to 519 over 146 nations.
In addition to this, the firms that sell equipment linked to the WiMAX technology has also reported considerable growth over the past year.
According to the chairman and president of the WiMAX forum, Ron Resnick the WiMAX broadband internet platform has been emerging strongly in the year 2009. He added that the WiMAX Forum membership not only helped in bringing the technology continuously to fresh markets, but also to maintain the mobile broadband services delivering spirit.
It is also worth mentioning here the claim put forward by Motorola’s head Steve McCaffey that both Long Term Evolution technology and WiMAX technology have a tremendous future ahead of them. The communications firm head had expressed his claims in an interview given to Silicon Republic website.
It is also a fact meanwhile that with LTE technology emerging as popular as ever, WiMAX could well see itself struggling to achieve the kind of popularity anticipated by bodies such as the WiMAX Forum.
