Voice and Broadband Network Extended by UK ISP KCOM

kcom_logoThe Kingston Communications, Eclipse Internet, a Hull-based broadband and voice (fixed telephone line) operator, has come to the spot light with an announcement that it will, according to a fresh deal with BT, extend its UK network through the national infrastructure of the latter, besides outsourcing its network assets management to BT wholesale.

It is understood that Neil Gower, one of the executive directors of the KCOM group would be tipped to supervise the initial session of BT‘s management until its completion on the 1st of September. Subsequently, he is believed to be stepping down having transferred the major part of the current responsibilities shouldered by him.

From now on, it is expected that KCOM will be focusing on a couple of Core businesses. The UK ISP Eclipse Internet along with the company’s Yorkshire activities will be given the prime priority, besides the business of the managed communications that serve the needs of public sector and enterprise markets.

The confident looking words of the deputy executive chairman of KCOM, Bill Halbert says that the agreement is a significant milestone in the transformation of the KCOMgroup, as it is expected to allow them to cut down their capital expenditure and fixed costs considerably, besides strengthening their competitive status as well as the ability to grow.
