September 29, 2007Virgin upgrades its package and starts trial serviceIt seems that Virgin Media is all set to upgrade its present broadband packages in near future, and the current 50 Mb broadband trial launched by the cable giant in selected areas of the UK stands as a proof for it. Now, the latest announcement from Virgin Media reveals that the ISP is also about to upgrade its L package (which currently delivers 4 Mb download speed) to 10 Mb in selected areas like Preston, Blackpool and Wigan for a trial period of a few months. In the UK, Virgin Media’s XL package already offers 20 Mb service and the proposed 10 Mb service is expected to offer one more superfast broadband service for its customers. The new package which is floated for a trial period will have an increased upload speed of 512 Kbps while the customers of existing L Package offers just 384 Kbps. Ernie Cormier of Virgin Media says that the trial will provide feedback and suggestions from their broadband customers and help the ISP to offer excellent broadband service for its customers. | ||
