Virgin Media the Fastest ISP in the UK
Fresh figures revealed by a popular broadband comparison website Cable UK, have shown that the fastest broadband internet provision in the United Kingdom was undertaken by the leading cable and fibre optic broadband provider in the UK, Virgin Media.
It is also true that no one in Britain will disagree with the claim of Virgin Media of being the broadband bundle provider that delivers the fastest connection speeds in the UK as well as its major hand in raising the average connection speed in the country. The broadband provider cherishes a long history of topping broadband speed tests and has not failed in the latest figures published by the website as well.
Virgin Media, with its average offered speed of 8.4 Mbps comfortably sets the pace regarding broadband connections. The next broadband provider coming in the list in terms of connection speed, Sky Broadband UK lags behind by a clear 1Mbps.
The third place in the list was secured by popular broadband and mobile broadband provider Orange UK scoring an average broadband connection speed of 6Mbps. Be Broadband and O2 meanwhile secured the third place through their shared platform delivering an average speed of 5.6Mbps.
However, it was pretty shocking to see BT, the prominent fixed-line broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom trailing in the fifth position with an average connection speed of 4.1Mbps.
