September 19, 2007Virgin Media puts its 50 MB broadband service to the testVirgin Media, the major cable broadband provider has been testing its astonishing 50 Mb broadband service in selected places in the UK. The ISP's customers in Ashford, Folkestone and Dover will be fortunate to use this service which is expected to cost around £50 a month. The trial period which starts on 1st of October will extend for three months in Ashford and the Virgin users can sign up for this service for £47 a month. The current free technical trial period would come to an end in Folkestone by 1st of October and the Virgin users either can remain with the 50 Mb service by subscribing to it or go back to their old package. Those who apply for free trail will receive a special modem and the company assures there are no catches. Dover will also get 50 Mb service by the first week of next month despite there is no confirmation over the price of the new package.
