Virgin Media Customers Opt for the 10Mbps Broadband Service

It has been reported that the customers of the leading cable broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom, Virgin Media, are found rapidly upgrading to the up to 10Mbps or above broadband packages of the UK ISP these days. This upgrading to more than 10Mbps service customer-base amounts to 72 per cent.
Next to this according to the Virgin Media sources, comes the customers of the company that go for a triple play bundle, which amount to almost 60 per cent. It has also been revealed by the sources that of the customers of the cable broadband provider, 2.7 million currently enjoyed a broadband package of 10Mbps or higher speeds.
Out of the above lot, almost 834,000 customers have been upgraded to the faster service by the internet service provider itself. This has been disclosed by the third quarter results of Virgin Media. The results have also shown that its broadband, home phone and TV bundle packages have been chosen by almost 60 per cent of its customers.
According to the Virgin Media chief executive officer, Neil Berkett, their triple play penetration at 59.5 per cent was at record levels as more than 10 per cent of their customers currently enjoy all the four services from them.
Another report of the cable broadband provider, meanwhile said that as the consumers opted for packages with better aspects, its income from each customer has also gone up to GBP 44.24 from GBP 42 at the same time in the year 2008.
