UK ISPs asked to reveal Speed Details

It has been claimed that the broadband bundle providers in the United Kingdom have been asked to reveal the details of the real connection speeds delivered by them to the consumers in the country.

It is understood that the UK broadband providers in the country are urged to consider showing better transparency over their broadband speeds, following the introduction of a post code speed map revealing the connection quality available in its coverage area by UK ISP Karoo.

The broadband provider disclosed the fact that the consumers in the country could be kept in the dark over their broadband speeds, especially owing to the fact that most ISPs advertised their speeds using ‘up to’ estimates.

According to the consumer and publishing services director at Kingstone Communications (the owner of Karoo)  Nick Thompson, the services at times not matching up to those figures form one of the highly frustrating problems.

Thompson added that they were pressing other broadband providers to follow their lead as the Digital Britain report delivered last year had called for greater transparency in the sector of connection speeds.
