UK ISP Eclipse Offers a 5-step Swine Flu Support System to Businesses
The business owners in the United Kingdom could find a five-step Swine flu back-up system forwarded by the UK broadband provider Eclipse Internet, helpful to tackle the pandemic in the future, in case they fall victim to it.
The system offered by the internet service provider is all about a five-step questionnaire based on self-assessment, using which the businesses can assess their fragility as well as receive updates on improved broadband service products that can help them considerably in crisis-management.
Eclipse Internet’s business specialist Mark Thomas explained the decision of the ISP to launch a dedicated website on swine flu that the pandemic of Swine flu has revealed just hoe unprepared most of the small businesses were to cope at the instance of any disaster, hence it was essential that the owners of the businesses considered the implications.
Meanwhile, a research study published by NARA (National Archieves and Records Administration) suggested that around 80 per cent of the businesses in the country that did not have a reasonable support and recovery strategy were found crumbling within a couple of years of a major disaster.
The research added that the government presentiments suggesting the pandemic peaking later in the year with an absenteeism of around 50 per cent also did not augur well for the industry.
