TVPlayer to be pre-installed app in all new Samsung tablets

One of the first streaming video platforms to be found pre-installed in Samsung’s new tablets, is the TVPlayer, Britain’s online TV platform. It will be rolled out over the coming 12 months, into 6 Samsung tablets, with 24 variants, including Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Tab E, Galaxy Tab A, Galaxy Tab Active, Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy View. The first tabs to currently come with the pre-installed app of TVPlayer, will be the Galaxy Tab.

Through the single app, on any connected device, the service offers users more than 60 accessible free-to-air channels, anytime. Both live and catch-up TV service are offered on TVPLayer, across Apple TV, Amazon Fire, iOS and Android apps, as well as the web. New and existing Samsung tablet owners will be offered exclusively a 3-month free trial of TVPlayer plus. The app can be downloaded, by existing Samsung users, from Google Play store.

Adam Smith, the founder of TVPlayer and also its CEO, said the app meets consumer demand for live TV, made available on any device, anytime, anywhere, in a world where mobile devices outnumber people. He expressed his delight in collaborating with Samsung to enhance content delivery in a flexible, streamlined way to more consumers in Britain.
