The Digital TV Switchover in Gloucestershire Round the Corner
It has been reported that as the Gloucestershire County’s switchover to digital TV was inching closer to realization, the people in the County have been urged to be prepared for the historical event.
According to a report published in the Forester, a good number of homeowners were yet to buy set-top boxes or relevant services from the broadband TV service providers such as BT Vision to be prepared for the event while the date for the area’s switchover announced officially has been in April and June in 2011.
The assistant manager of Digital UK for the south west, David Farwig said that the customers served by the transmitter at Ridge Hill, could be affected by the potential changes.
Farwig added that a great number of people in the county have already switched to digital TV, and with only a few months to go for the big switchover day, they were urging every viewers of analogue television to be prepared.
It was revealed earlier this month that the BBC Trust was supporting Project Canvas, the freshly proposed digital TV service.
