Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator of the United Kingdom has awarded to Samknows a deal to collect internet data, research and analyse in the United Kingdom. Samknows is a website, which has the history of collaborating with the regulator in 2008 to develop a method to benchmark broadband providers in the United Kingdom.

It was reported by broadband comparison website UK Cheap Broadband that several news reports were published by Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator of the United Kingdom detailing various ways Britain was deploying the next generation superfast fibre optic broadband internet services, as well as how different methods could alter the market.

It was obviously James Murdoch, News Corp Europe and Asia’s chief executive officer that drew the first blood, at least in the context of the present words exchange between him and the chief executive of Ofcom, Ed Richards, when he claimed that the telecommunications regulator was too interventionist.
