It has been announced that cordless advanced technology products are to be launched into the markets later this year. The benefits of these products are that they can run through broadband connections.

Electronic Weekly has recently reported that a discussion was conducted among the members of industry association DECT Forum related to this and they announced that products using cordless advanced technology in relation to internet and quality will soon be available around the home. They are expecting audio streaming and IP-based voice activities over broadband connections will enter into the markets by the third quarter of this year.

John Smith, head of UK operations at Siemens’ home and office communication division mentioned that the new cordless advanced technology is much faster than older digital enhanced cordless telecommunications. He added up that it is not competing with Wi-Fi to connect laptops or stream high video data rates around the home. It is the next generation of home phones that comes in affordable prices and it will work straight out of the box.
