Standstill Caused by Orange Data Network Outage
It has been reported that a broadband and mobile phone network standstill was caused by an outage that struck the data network of UK broadband provider, Orange UK on Thursday.
The news was reported by Register, the news site; according to which, the problem showed up for the first time on Thursday morning when the mobile customers of Orange found checking their mails, impossible.
It was also reported that the unfortunate issue had also disrupted the broadband network of the internet service provider, leaving numerous broadband customers either finding it unable to get connected to the service or struggling with pathetically slow broadband speeds.
Meanwhile, the advice for the customers of the broadband supplier, affected by the service issue was to reset the equipment with a view to pick up an improved connection. It is obviously an unfortunate situation for Orange to find itself in, particularly for its happening on the eve of the mobile operators merging with T-Mobile to form a new mobile broadband giant in the UK with an approximate market share of 37 per cent.
An Orange spokesperson was reported to have spoken to the Register on behalf of the firm that they were quiet aware that a few of their customers in the UK might be experiencing difficulty to access their services currently, while they were investigating the problems source as a prioritized matter.
The spokesperson of the mobile operator also admitted that they would like to apologise to the affected customers for any inconvenience that might have caused to them by this problem.
