Small Budget Broadband Packages Launched by Plusnet
Plusnet has always been a broadband service provider popular for its flexible contract terms that simply suited the budget of the consumer with its attractive prices and monthly download allowances. I had also been in the limelight previously when it had introduced the happy hours package that enabled the users to enjoy free broadband between midnight and 8 am, apart from offering VoIP calls for as low as GBP9.99 per month. Plusnet has struck again here, with a couple of new small budget broadband packages that would definitely help to expand their broadband packages portfolio.

Plusnet’s idea behind the launch of the value products can be considered novel, for it packs the potential to attract the attention of the rural area users, predominantly. Plusnet has put forth a new expression in ‘low cost areas‘ that refer to the areas in the vicinity of a telephone exchange. The customers living in these areas will be availed the new value package of Plusnet at GBP5.99. The users who live outside the low cost areas would also receive the same package at the same price, it would be margined to the first three months. Thenceforth, they will be billed GBP 19.99. Other attractions of the first value package are; up to 8Mbps download speeds, a wireless 4-port router for free, round the clock back-up and unlimited email addresses, apart from a monthly usage allowance of 10GB.
The second value package from the Plusnet household is Plusnet Unlimited, which also provides the user with up to 8Mb of download speeds. Unlimited email adresses and the free router is offered here as well. This package, which is subject to an 18 month agreement, offers the user unrestricted downloading freedom. The price of the Plusnet Unlimited broadband packages is fixed at GBP 11.99 a month until the third month from the date of purchase, followed by GBP15.99 as regulation.
If the introduction of an unlimited broadband offer is indeed a significant change in itself, at least as far as Plusnet is concerned, the location based tariff introduction can obviously be considered as a shot in the arm for Plusnet.
