Scottish Labour Party Leader Calls for Broadband Guarantee

Iain Gray, the leader of the Labour party in Scotland has recently come into the mainstream news of the United Kingdom after claiming more actions to ensure that the people across Britain got guaranteed access to broadband internet service.
It has been reported that the Scottish political leader has asked the country’s concerned ministers how did they intend to help broadband access reach every person across the United Kingdom.
According to the MSP it was high time now that broadband internet services be regarded in the same light as other necessities such as electricity and water. He added that a shortcoming in the provision of such services might put the nation at a disadvantage.
Gray had revealed his views while talking to the newspaper Herald Scotland, where he also acknowledged that a failure in accessing the web would refer to the fact that people were deprived of the opportunity to sign up for budget priced commodities and foods.
Gray while putting forward that Scotland’s prosperous future seriously depended on the provision of fast broadband access, also went on to warn that if they did nor raise their broadband vision to higher levels, Scotland ran the risk of being left behind.
It is also worth mentioning here that advice body UK Online Centres’s managing director Helen Milner had also claimed recently that being on the internet allowed people to make an informed selection on numerous issues such as financial services and shopping.
