Talk Talk 12 Months Half Price

Plusnet’s customers got into a terrible fix

Some of the Plusnet’s customers felt a shocking experience when they switched telephone service from BT to TalkTalk. Along with the voice line, their broadband connection with Plusnet was also cut without their knowledge. Although this had been happening over the past few months, Plusnet started to receive more and more complaints from its customers only during the last few weeks. Everything right from the wire to modem were linked to the exchange, but these customers could not establish connection to internet.

After a thorough exmamination, it was found that all the complaints came from the customers who have recently switched their telephony to TalkTalk and with further investigation it was found that their broadband connections no longer came under BT’s network because they use bundled exchanges of TalkTalk.

Plusnet accuses that it was the practice of TalkTalk to move broadband with phone service in areas they have LLU lines. So, when its customer switch to TalkTalk phone, his or her broadband with the old broadband provider is deactivated and he or she is made to sign up for a broadband package of TalkTalk.

PlusNet says that TalkTalk has forced more than 2,500 customers of other ISPs in UK to switch to its service within a month. Plusnet also feels that this is unfair play by TalkTalk and the customers will be affected by it. However, TalkTalk did not give a fitting reply to this accusation. Meanwhile, Plusnet has taken this matter to the notice of Ofcom which is expected to investigate into the issue after the formal complaint is made by Plusnet.
