Pensioners’ Home Phone Scheme launched by TalkTalk
TalkTalk, one of the leading broadband and home phone bundle providers operating across the United Kingdom has had itself shot into prime time news with its launch of a fresh service that would enable the elderly home phone customers of the ISP to enjoy with a member of staff, a weekly chat.
The fresh scheme from the leading internet service provider has been dubbed We will call you scheme. The scheme also offers broadband internetpackages besides home phone bundles, designed with a view to make sure that elederly customers that lived alone could still enjoy a ligh talk over the phone with some person on news or any other thing of interest.
According to TalkTalk’s communication director Mark Schimid, the research carried by them had suggested that the service met a requirement that was not fulfilled currently.
Schimid further explained that given that there would be a call over the phone from a familiar and friendly voice at a fixed time every week, besides knowing that one could chat with them over any subject liked by the person was obviously something that was valued by a good number of people.
Schimid added that the launch of the fresh service was quite timely as it was announced recently that there were around 4 million elderly people living alone in the United Kingdom.
