Orange extends its Wi-fi roaming services
Earlier BT joined hands with FON to provide wifi access for its customers when they are on travel outside the UK. Now, following the suit, Orange broadband provider, struck a deal with The Cloud to offer roaming facilities via the hotspots of the latter. According to the announcement from the ISP, its business broadband customers can use more than 7500 hotspots of The Cloud in the UK.
Orange has already partnered with some of the big names of the UK wireless broadband industry. These deals enable the customers of Orange to access more than 19,000 public hotspots of the leading hotspot providers like France Telecom, WeRoam and BTOpenzone. Nowadays, many UK broadband service providers offers wireless support to their packages so customers get the essential hardware like wireless router preconfigured by the ISPs for the wireless networking.
To use Orange Wi-fi Access which is available at various business locations worldwide, the customers need to choose anyone of the following services:
- Business Everywhere Flexible Data bundles
- Pay As You Consume Wifi
- One hour Wifi vouchers
Both Business Everywhere Flexible Data bundles and Pay As You Consume Wifi plans will require the customers to apply for the same in prescribed form and need to setup the wireless network in their premises.
Customers can also buy One hour Wifi vouchers and will get the username & password via sms. When a customer buys a voucher, £6 will be added to his Orange bill.
