O2 Telefonica which offers O2 broadband packages has announced special offers which will be valid for a limited period. O2 has reduced the monthly price of all the three packages by £5.

O2, currently offers three packages with unlimited download limits. Its Standard package comes with 8mb downstream speed and its other two packages – Premium and Ultimate offer 16Mb and 20Mb download speeds respectively.

With new prices coming into effect, O2 Standard package will now cost just £12.50 instead of £17.50. Similarly Premium package will be available for a month cost of £15, reduced from the old price £20. You can sign up to O2 Ultimate offer for just £20 instead of £20.

What’s more, if you are a O2 mobile customer, you will get additional discount of £5 when you sign up to O2 broadband. This special offer is valid until 30th April, 2008.

When you sign up to 12 month contract, you will get a free wireless router (O2 Wireless Box), McAfee internet security with three licences, 100 free texts on the web and ten free email accounts.

For those who buy O2 package before 31st January, 2008 will also get free connection.

O2 which purchased Be broadband UK in 2006, launched broadband packages under its banner only in October, 2007. Be Unlimited provides ADSL+2 services has unbundled over 814 exchanges by the end of last year and its network has become the backbone of these two companies
