Millions Never Used Internet, says Martha Fox
The digital inclusion champion of the government of United Kingdom, Martha Lane Fox has suggested in a recent report commissioned by her that millions of people in the United Kingdom never used the broadband internet.
This, as a matter of fact, falls as great concern to the digital dreams of the country, as terms such as broadband, internet and online have evolved into routine language for many. This is also a time when people are found relying on internet service more and more for both pleasure and business.
In the report commissioned by her, Fox suggested that more than 10 million adult people in the United Kingdom had never been to internet service; a fact that would shock the millions that banked on broadband internet service for work and pleasure. Another disappointing fact that these figures reveal is that 17 per cent of the UK adults never got online.
The report commissioned by the digital inclusion champion also stressed how many of the internet-phobic were losing out each year, on hundreds of pounds that could be otherwise earned due to the numerous deals that are found online with a wide array of services and products.
Fox’s report also highlights how convenient it was to shop around on the internet and how cheaper it was to pay bill, which culminates into a further savings loss for those reluctant to the internet service.
