James Cameron consulted by Sky for 3D TV Finer PointsIt has been reported that representatives of the popular broadband and TV bundle providing firm in the United Kingdom, Sky had travelled to the United States of America recently to discuss the realisation of viable 3D viewing experiences with James Cameron, the celebrity movie director.

The news was reported on Sky News, according to which the popular broadcaster wanted to learn from Cameron’s 3D experience. As a matter of fact, Avatar, the blockbuster of Cameron had become recently the film release grossing the highest of all time.

According to Darren Long, the operations director at Sky Sports, Cameron was a die-hard evangelist about 3D and he breathed, lived and ate 3D besides just wanting to ensure good 3D out there. He added that it was just about how they were going to finish it, for Cameron as he was curious about the filming techniques employed and the equipment being used by them.

Long further said that according to Cameron it was just about getting the message out there, getting it out to the people properly.

It had been already announced that Sky would start its maiden public 3D channel trial on January 31 by broadcasting Manchester United’s match against Arsenal live to a number of pubs across the United Kingdom.
