How to Use Sky Broadband Wirelessly
A customer of Sky Broadband internet service can use the connection wirelessly by engaging a wireless router. It is noteworthy here that there is no extra cost associated with engaging a wireless router.
The customer can use laptops, game consoles, mobile phones or any other gadget, which uses a wireless broadband connection, once the connection is made. For keeping the network private, the user will have to place security measures in the router.
For connecting Sky Broadband service wirelessly the user needs to remove the Ethernet cable from the rear part of the computer and plug it directly into the slot labelled Internet on the wireless router. This helps the computer to have internet connection.
After this, the user needs to plug an Ethernet cable into the Port 1 at the backside of the wireless router. Here the opposite end of the Ehternet cable should be connected to the computer’s Ethernet port. The user can also connect any other devices to the wireless router alongside.
As the next step the user should unplug his broadband modem, unplug his wireless router and then restart his computer. Following this, he needs to reconnect the modem first and then reconnect the wireless router after waiting for a minute. Now the computer needs to be turned on once again.
Now the user should test his broadband connection. It should be noted that the computer of the user will, along with the other wireless devices, now be able to connect to the internet. The user should also consult his manual for security settings configuration information.
