High Definition BBC iPlayer
The High Definition content viewing capability in the BBC iPlayer was introduced by BBC recently, where one could watch high definition TV programmes such as Dragons’ Den and Doctor Who. Along with this, the experts have already sounded the alert for penalization of the customers by the ISPs for exceeding the download limits.
To ward off this penalization, the surfers are advised to be aware of the download limits mentioned in the contract with their broadband service provider. There is a possibility here for the people to get penalized by their ISPs for exceeding pre-agreed download limits, especially as HD content use large file sizes.
Another possibility that arises here is the customer breaching the fair usage policy of the broadband supplier, which is also liable to be penalized. The chief broadband analyzer of Broadband Suppliers, Chuck Doherty warned that those customers who were habitual downloaders of movies or music to Facebook like sites are the ones who are in the high risk group that is increasingly prone to exceeding pre-agreed download limits.
He added that the parents of those youngsters who are highly internet savvy should be highly cautious on their wards’ downloading proximities, as this too can end up in the customer getting a shocking internet bill at the end of the month. He also advocated the engagement of an application that can monitor downloads meticulously.
