Guidance for Young Broadband Users Safety

It has been reported that the government of the United Kingdom has launched a new internet safety strategy with a view to keep the young broadband consumers in the country safe when they were online.

The new safety strategy introduced by the United Kingdom Council for Child Internet Safety has been dubbed Green Cross Code by thKids' Online Securitye government, as it also urges the internet savvy children as well as their parents to make sure that they are secured in the protective armour forwarded by the safety firm. The government affirms that the freshly launched guidance can protect from any internet related potential dangers posed to the kids.

The Green Cross Code campaign highlights a significant aspect that is all about a fresh Digital Code of Flag it, Block it, Zip it that exhorts the young internet consumers to secure personal data, block messages of suspicious character and mention these to some people trusted by them.

Meanwhile, the government figures have revealed that 99 percent of the kids coming in the eight to seventeen years old group, were enjoying broadband internet access. Among these, eighteen per cent of subjects had claimed of receiving inappropriate content while browsing the internet.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Gordon Brown said while discussing the initiative that the internet provided the children with a galaxy of entertainment, knowledge and opportunity, which was nothing less than a virtual world at their figure tips. He added that still it was required to make sure that the virtual world was as secure for them as the real one.
