Free Christmas Internet Offer from Vodafone

Vodafone, one of the leading five mobile broadband service providers operating in the United Kingdom has come up with a special festive offer that is all about an extra present this Christmas – a free broadband internet term that had begun in the morning of 2008 December 25 and would carry on until the first day of the year 2010.

Vodafone Mobile Phone Internet UseThe mobile broadband service providing firm, which had launched a promotion dubbed Free Fridays sometime back, has launched the new offer as almost the former’s extension. As a matter of fact, the Free Friday offer of Vodafone that was all about offering free internet access through mobile phones to all pay-as-you-go and contract customers of the ISP on chosen Fridays.

Nonetheless, the mobile broadband users of Vodafone that were until now enjoying the ‘through mobile phone’ aspect of the popular free Friday offer of the ISP would be revelling further, as those mobile broadband providers that accessed the internet through a mobile broadband dongle and a laptop could be left disappointed.

It is today apparent that Vodafone was treating its mobile phone customers that browsed the internet using the mobile broadband service of the UK ISP, with a bit of distinction, as against the mobile broadband customers of the provider that used a mobile broadband dongle to access the web. Many people as well as experts in the country think that the reason behind this discrimination could be a billing distinction, which allows it to charge differently even while not monitoring the traffic.

Vodafone has been in limelight recently after its announcing the merger of its United Kingdom operations with that of T-Mobile. It is believed that such a partnership could result in the making of the largest mobile broadband provider of the UK.
