Free Broadband Offer From BT Comes to an End
The three month free broadband offer from BT that was quiet popular in the UK broadband circles has come to an end on 12 May. This was a switching promotion offer from BT targeting mainly the fresh customers who intended for a switch over to BT by taking the broadband and call packages of the UK ISP.

This package that was an entry level broadband bundle was offered to the fresh customers free of cost for the first three months, and thereafter at GBP 15.64 a month. This package offered internet access at the speeds of up to 8Mbps, apart from an attractive unlimited UK weekend and evening phone calls.
This package of BT was called Broadband Option 1 of BT Total, and it provided a usage allowance of 40GB monthly download. The package also included a fresh wireless home hub of BT that enabled the users an unbeatable wireless broadband connection in and around the household.
Another advantage that accompanied the package was free Wi-Fi of 250 minutes a month that could be accessed using a Wi-Fi enabled notebook or laptop at scores of BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspot locations across Britain, such as the Starbucks coffee chain.
Finally, this package also permitted the mobile customers a BT Mobile Broadband dongle addition that entitled them to get GBP 180 per month worth free mobile broadband service of BT, across the UK. The speeds offered here were up to 7.2Mbps that was achievable in particular areas.
