Fibre partnership agreed between Cityfibre and SSE Enterprise Telecoms

Cityfibre and SSE Enterprise Telecoms have recently entered into an agreement between themselves by signing a new strategic partnership to continue their relationship in supporting each other in their services. As of now, SSE Enterprise is having fibre optic and Ethernet based network with 12000km + long in the UK. And Cityfibre is having its dark fibre and FTTP network services in more than 50 cities and also doing 1 Gbps FTTH network deployment to complete by 2025.

Under this new partnership agreement, Cityfibre will support by joining SSEET’s Edge Plus providers for providing high class Ethernet services and their LIVEQUOTE price comparison tool. In turn, the new deal enables the partners of SSEET to get access to last mile metro networks of CityFibre in the locations of Aberdeen, Leeds, Bradford, Glasgow, Sheffield and Edinburgh and 9 more cities will be added soon.

Cityfibre’s Commercial Director – Rob Hamlin said that having partnership with SSEET will provide all vital choices along with meeting increased demand and also both organizations are suited well culturally. They both are sharing their entrepreneurial spirit and interrupt the market to benefit the customers and partners. SSEET’s customers will get access to their 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps Ethernet services and Cityfibre can take the benefit of their customer base to increase connections across the network.

CEO of SSEET – Colin Sempill said that they are having a mission to improve in getting network services. Both organizations have made a substantial investment in the UK fibre networks in the past 10 years to capture strong proposition in the market. Really it is necessary to have a best partner to continue such delivery of high quality connectivity services and CityFibre was apt for them.
