England’s World Cup Qualifier Ukraine Exclusively for Broadband Users

For the first time in the history of football match telecasting, a World Cup qualifier match played between England and Ukraine will be exclusively broadcast online through pay-per-view service. The television rights to telecast this match was previously owned through a contract brokered by Kentaro by Setanta, the collapsed broadcaster from Ireland.

Perhaps for one reason that the English football team has been already qualified for the upcoming World Cup tournament in South Africa next year, few TV operators had moved to basket the available rights. Following this, Perform, a digital agency was appointed by Kentaro to telecast the October 10 match from Dnipro Arena in Ukraine, exclusively on the net.

A broadband internet customer can approach a dedicated website for subscription at GBP 4.99 until October 7. Then onwards, this subscription charge will be increased to GBP 9.99 on Friday and Thursday, before attaining the highest point of GBP 11.99 for the buys on the day of the match.

This footabll match that will start at 4.45 pm, will also be availed on the websites of a chosen lot of UK broadband providers and newspaper websites that include Orange, Virgin Media, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Times, The Sun, News of the World, The Daily Star and The Daily Express.

The football match that will be complimented by running commentary from David Pleat and Tony Jones, will be presented by former manager of English football team, Sven-Goran Eriksson and James Richardson.
