This VoIP phone comes in black case only and offer good range of features for an SME (small or medium enterprise) as its simple to use. Plug the Ethernet cable into the phone and feed in basic registration information to bring the phone online on the network. The phone would try to find a DHCP server (which issue IP address to devices) or a manual IP address has to be entered in order to complete VoIP phone's network setup. The phone support SIP and H.323/H.450 standards and works in any compatible environment. You can use the phone with either its handset or plug in headsets with hands free option as well. The phone give you two-line user interface to quickly setup call forwarding, transfer, divert, do not disturb, called ID, call log etc with other good features. The advantage lies in the web interface from where a phone details can be managed. The phone vendor has taken a bit of criticism for its phone menus options which can go a little too deep for a user and could have been bundled under Advanced function main menu option like the way shows up on the web interface. Otherwise the phone is a gem product listed along several others for their quality. You can open the phone details over a web browser by pointing the browser interface to phone's IP address. The navigation structure is very easy to understand and gives you list of main categories with sub-categories holding the features set and details about each and every one. There is a help on the web interface which explains each and every function's purpose and the way to configure it. You can set a desired language, standard call features, like call redirection, waiting, ringtones (including customer ringtone), call answering, diverts etc. You can also maintain multiple user identities on the phone and can import the data into the address book from a file using TFTP server. You can also assign customer function keys for example voice recorder, shared line, intercom etc. Advanced phone features includes configuring IP address through the phone keys and to provide a 'phone number guessing when dialing', or different on hold dial tone for callers on hold. All these setting can be configured using the SIP configuration menu option. That's not all, you can also configure your phone to be a VLAN and can associate them with certificate for device authentication. The phone looks a little bigger in size and with its blackish aluminum color it looks attractive and can be used for residential purpose as it adds an extra touch to home interiors is priced at £96 inclusive VAT which doesn't look too expensive with the kind of features it carries..
