DrayTek Vigor 2820n Dual WAN/ADSL 2+ VPN Wireless-N Router, Annex M, 3G Support (300Mbps)
DrayTek has launched the new DrayTek Vigor 2820n Dual WAN/ADSL 2+ VPN Wireless-N Router for the tech savvy people embedded with a lot of advanced features and connectivity options.
While comparing with other models using ‘b’ or ‘g’ standards, this new ADSL/ADSL2+ supported broadband wireless router works on advanced IEEE 802.11N standards and provides enhanced network coverage, resilience and speed.
Packet aggregation and channel bonding enabled in this router enhances the speed of data transmission up to 300Mb per seconds. It supports 3G modem and allows all users to access the internet simultaneously. The ‘MIMO’ (Multiple In / Multiple Out) used in this advanced model considerably improves the flexibility of the connection.
WPA2 encryption, 802.11x authentication, MAC address locking and DHCP fixing provides better wireless safety to the user while using this device. Likewise, it has advanced firewall protection against DoS/IP-based attacks and unauthorized remote system interruptions.
In addition to primary ADSL interface, the Vigor 2820N has a secondary WAN port for internet accessing. This Ethernet interface also supports a second ADSL modem, cable broadband or Ethernet based connectivity.
VLAN technology of this device allow administrator to keep an eye on the connected systems and you can cut-off wireless clients from LAN if required. If your primary ADSL line or ISP fails continuously, you can make WAN backup using this router. It will create a provisional connectivity for internet access and when the problem is over, the connection will be restored.
The installation of the device is a quick and easy process. It has VPN Dial-in/dial-out for up to 32 concurrent tunnels with hardware co-processor. Multiple SSID (up to 4) supported this gadget features Ethernet and WLAN Virtual LAN segmentation. USB connectivity interfaces for printer and modem integration are also provided in this network router.
WDS of the DrayTek Vigor 2820n 3G Wireless-N Router works on two modes, known as ‘repeater mode’ and ‘bridge mode’. In the first one, a client unit will produce the signals that are just double to the total signal-range of the network, whereas the second one is employable for accessing two physically separated LAN to communicate but wirelessly.
