Digital Britain Report Loses its Main Champions

The final Digital Britain report, according to many experts in the broadband segment, will strive to combat the menace of the ever-growing illegal file downloads that are affecting the revenues of the music and film industries. The report that would explain the digital future of the country has evoked a contrasting range of perceptions in the minds of various broadband experts.

carter_1422256cOne of the pundits of the sector and a technology and media partner at Olswang, John Enser, who arguably gave some of the most insightful comments, stated that the final Digital Britain report has no more the support of its main champions in the cabinet; that too even before it has been published. When asked if the report should be respected in the particular circumstance, he commented that it was still significant for its addressing some of the crucial issues faced by the nation.

Enser further said that the UK was still good in the creative industries, and the creation of a Digital Britain would practically carry the economy through the recession triggered economic slump faced by the people as a whole. The naïve prospect of a basic 2Mbps broadband service extended to every household in the country, although timed out, is relevant, for its making the Britons enthusiastic towards at least a 2Mbps connection, against the South Korean target of 50 Mbps.

The chief broadband analyst at the Broadband Suppliers, Chuck Doherty stressed on the fact that even though a chance for making decision on investments more convenient. He added that still the digital future of the country cannot be left unmarked for its continuing to offer a colossal opportunity.
