Talk Talk 12 Months Half Price

Community award scheme by TalkTalk

One of the leading broadband internet providers in the UK, TalkTalk has recently announced the launch of a new awards scheme for charities and non-profit organisations. The Innovation in the Community Awards programme will honour cash sums of £2,000 to 30 organisations from a group of self-nominated units. These organisations will form those who require economic aid to acquire technology services and products.

Another attraction is that the award receivers will be given free broadband service from TalkTalk. Application for the awards can be made until September 28th. These are being made in combination with digital inclusion charity Citizens Online.

John Fisher, chief executive of Citizens Online mentioned that most of the people find the internet frightening, but by developing exciting and innovative ways for people to use digital technologies. He also mentioned that community organisations can encourage new users. TalkTalk also announced that it is cutting the price of its international phone and broadband package to just below £6 a month, not including line rental.
