Chedworth residents can test new ultrafast broadband at Chedworth Village Hall

Residents and business owners of Chadworth can test out the new ultrafast broadband speed at a village demonstration being held at the Chadworth Village Hall. The vVillage Hall has a capability to access the internet at high speeds, at up to 1Gbps, which is 33 times faster than the average speed in UK, making it one of the best connected venues in the country.

The demonstration here takes place on 7th May, Saturday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Residents are invited to come here with their devices or tablets or smartphones to find out how much difference the new pure Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) line can make. Gigaclea the provider of pure fibre broadband will answer questions on the new service being offered here.

The build of the new Gigaclear broadband network is progressing on schedule, with 3 street-cabinets installed at Withington, Chedworth and Cockleford areas. Work is underway on a 4th street-cabinet in Winstone. Gigaclear has dug more than 77km of trenching to install the cable. The new fibre connection point installed at the boundary of nearly 789 homes and businesses are ready to go live with ultrafast broadband.
