It has been reported that Vodafone, one of the five prominent mobile networks operating in the United Kingdom, has announced fresh budget mobile broadband packages for pay-as-you-go customers and monthly subscribers of the internet service provider. It is perceived that this move from Vodafone is to help the customers beat the budget blues of January.

Vodafone showcases a couple of mobile broadband price plans for the customers fishing for a monthly deal, to choose from. One mobile broadband deal of the two is a GBP 15 per month package that offers data allowance of 3GB with 2GB back-up and basic antivirus and spyware protection for free of charges.

Then you have the second one, a bigger GBP 20 per month mobile broadband deal from Vodafone that offers the customer data allowance of 4GB, restore and unlimited back-up, and a Premium Computer Security Pack for free. The Premium pack includes anti-virus, a firewall, email spm filter, parental protection and spyware protection.

It is also refreshing that the Premium computer security pack is being given for free of cost with the current GBP 25 mobile broadband plan of Vodafone as well.

Coming to the pay-as-you-go mobile broadband customers of Vodafone, the ISP offers them three times more download allowance than what existed while buying a fresh Top up and GO K3565 3.6Mbps USB modem stick. Here the customers get 3GB in the place of 1GB they were being given until now. This would remain active for thirty days and the customer needs to pay GBP 34.99 for this.

It is also worth noting that currently in the United Kingdom, Vodafone is the sole internet service provider that offered added mobile broadband internet security with their packages.

Vodafone has recently revealed one of the most significant scopes borne by its various mobile broadband sticks and SIM cards stuffed with data. This is nothing but the latest blessing from the digital world to the communication world – Liveblogging. The article published in the technology website Electric Pig, says that any ustomer of its can turn into a complete newsroom on the move with its 3G mobile broadband connection and a laptop.

The article emphasizes certain aspects of the mobile broadband laptop team that enables reasonably fast liveblogging. It starts with the ease offered by today’s laptop keyboards, remarkable processing power, the advantages offered by the Windows software and last but not the least, tremendous battery power. Besides, today’s customers have the super advantage of a high speed 3G mobile broadband dongle.

Furthermore, the convenience of installation also provides the system a shot in the arm as setting up is a mere trifle. The customers are advised to get online using the mobile broadband options of Vodafone for a quick install, even if the person uses an Apple Mac OSX or Windows versions. The user can use a USB port on the laptop to pop the 3G mobile broadband dongle, and is advised to simply go through the instructions.

Once a liveblogging toolkit is brought to contact with the laptop, the customer can branch out pictures and texts to keep the readers rooted in. Moreover, the customers can also engage in live video streaming using a web camera with free Ustream.TV and Justin.TV sites to invite the readers to tune into the network. For optimal results the customers should ensure that a microphone is being used in the webcam.

Finally, the website has also given the pricings; according to which one can grab a sim-only Vodafone deal for as low as GBP 20 per month. This obviously comes with included data for liveblogging. The broadband provider’s mobile broadband USB dongle is offered for free with a GBP 15 a month mobile broadband package of Vodafone.

Vodafone, one of the leading five mobile broadband service providers operating in the United Kingdom has come up with a special festive offer that is all about an extra present this Christmas – a free broadband internet term that had begun in the morning of 2008 December 25 and would carry on until the first day of the year 2010.

The mobile broadband service providing firm, which had launched a promotion dubbed Free Fridays sometime back, has launched the new offer as almost the former’s extension. As a matter of fact, the Free Friday offer of Vodafone that was all about offering free internet access through mobile phones to all pay-as-you-go and contract customers of the ISP on chosen Fridays.

Nonetheless, the mobile broadband users of Vodafone that were until now enjoying the ‘through mobile phone’ aspect of the popular free Friday offer of the ISP would be revelling further, as those mobile broadband providers that accessed the internet through a mobile broadband dongle and a laptop could be left disappointed.

It is today apparent that Vodafone was treating its mobile phone customers that browsed the internet using the mobile broadband service of the UK ISP, with a bit of distinction, as against the mobile broadband customers of the provider that used a mobile broadband dongle to access the web. Many people as well as experts in the country think that the reason behind this discrimination could be a billing distinction, which allows it to charge differently even while not monitoring the traffic.

Vodafone has been in limelight recently after its announcing the merger of its United Kingdom operations with that of T-Mobile. It is believed that such a partnership could result in the making of the largest mobile broadband provider of the UK.

Vodafone, one of the five prominent mobile broadband providers operating in the United Kingdom, has reportedly planned to strike a deal with the Decho Corporation with a view to offer its customers services for backing up online data.

As a matter of fact, the mobile broadband supplier has unveiled its plans to take the Decho Corporation as its partner to offer the customers the opportunity to backup their online data.

The mobile broadband company, will, as part of the strategic team up, develop a range of services for both residential and business broadband clients in the United Kingdom. These hosted services of the UK broadband provider will enable the customers to conveniently add to an internet platform.

The added data can be then accessed on a personal computer, netbook or any other electronic device that is web-enabled, through a web browser.

According to Vodafone’s director for mobile broadband wing, Huw Medcraft, the service has been developed with a view to ensure the customers that used a range of connected gadgets everyday, access to information with convenience.

Medcraft added that the PC backup of Vodafone would allow the customers to store this cntent centrally, providing them with the vital reassurance that their files – regardless of being critical business documents or family pictures – as that of Vodafone customers will be stored to be retrieved when they needed those.

This news is all the more significant as it comes alongside another one that is all about the confirmation from Vodafone that it would launch enhanced mobile broadband service coverage throughout the regions of major demand in Britain.

The popular mobile broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom, Vodafone, has launched a WiFi mobile broadband router, which is capable of connecting multiple WiFi compatible devices to the internet at a time. Vodafone has apparently followed the path treaded by 3 UK, by doing so.

The WiFi mobile broadband router of Vodafone that is currently not available in the United Kingdom, is capable of allowing customers to create their own WiFi hot spot, which in its turn can connect up to five compatible devices to the wireless network at a time.

The router introduced by Vodafone is expected to allow customers to connect to the mobile broadband network, their WiFi enabled MP 3 players, mobile phones and digital cameras, besides conventional mobile broadband devices such as laptops and netbooks.

Huw Medcraft, the director for mobile broadband at Vodafone Broadband commented on the WiFi hot spot router launch that the mobile broadband hotspot from Vodafone strived to offer families, students and professionals, a single-touch connectivity solution, which turned laptops and MP3 players with WiFi into connected mobile broadband gadgets.

Initially, the Wifi mobile broadband hot spot router would only be available in Spain, Romania and Germany.
