Even before the news of the launch of Google Buzz would reach the world, Google have come up with a new excitement to provide the fastest fiber optic cable network in US & UK broadband. As a beginning they have planned to launch an experimental network in the US with a speed of 1Gbps (a speed that can download full length movies in less than 5 minutes).

This probably is an aimed to focus the future internet applications of Google which is more interactive and realistic. However these ideas also facilitate the applications, videos, movies, games and other communication utilities that are used online. There have been many such announcements in the past from the Asian counterparts like the Japan and South Korea who have advertised such speeds. But these techniques need a lot of time to get adapted. But Google says that they have dedicated a great team of developers who work to identify the ways of reaching the maximum threshold. The fiber technology will be from Google while the users still have the choice of their own internet service providers. Also they said that the package will be provided at competitive prices to a maximum of 500,000 people as a test run.

They said that they still don’t guarantee things, but they would like to contribute and achieve the fastest speed possible through experiments. They have also requested the Government and Public interest to help achieve the cause.
