Reports further suggest that the re-launch of its broadband services by Tesco would be marked by determination as the broadband supplier would strive to compliment its broadband deals with top class customer service and highly competitive prices.

In an apparent attempt to emerge as one of the leading internet service providers in the United Kingdom, the biggest supermarket group operating in the UK, has signed a 5 year contract with communications expert Cable & Wireless.

According to the chief executive officer of Tesco Mobiles and Tesco Telecoms, Lance Batchelor, the company shared a commitment to deliver top class customer service, and Tesco Broadband would be encouraged by the fresh network capabilities to offer improved services for their customers across the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Cable & Wireless Worldwide’s chief executive officer, Jim Marsh claimed that they were completely focused on putting the requirements of their customers at the heart of their business, which clearly was an approach that resonated with Tesco.

Tesco has not yet unveiled the prices and broadband package details, although it pledges to bring value, service and simplicity to the market.

Is BT whole heartedly trying to help the languishing businesses in the UK to overcome the constrictions effectuated by the global economic recession? The onus today is on the UK businesses to check out the scope of some new broadband offers put forth by British Telecom with a tag that says ‘exclusively for the UK businesses’.

It is interesting that BT has put forth a claim that their new offers would provide the liberty to the UK businesses to practically combine a number of fresh BT One Plan call packages with the internet access provided by BT Total Business Broadband’s Option 1. This in turn would give the customers inclusive call offers to mobiles, landlines and international numbers.

BT also claims that UK businesses can save the call costs to up to 50 percent by merging the two new plans. It refers to the per minute price of a call to any fixed line in the UK. The package mentioned here is the call plus broadband package of BT for businesses.

According to BT, as against buying the two services separately, if the business party go on to buy a combination of the two packages that would help it save up to 20 percent on the price of the packages separately. The cost of BT Total Business Broadband Option 1 is GBP12.50, as the BT One Call Plan starts from GBP 5.3.
