Bundle Uptake Boosted by Sky Broadband

The popular internet service provider operating in the United Kingdom, Sky Broadband UK has claimed that it has increased its broadband, digital TV and home phone bundlecustomer-base. Sky has revealed this news in its latest financial results.

According to the latest financial results of the broadband service provider, an increase from twelve per cent to seventeen per cent was experienced by it on the number of its customers signing up for its triple play bundles, in the 3 months up to September 30.

The broadband supplier that is popular for its triple play broadband bundle packages has also claimed that it managed to include a fresh 100,000 broadband customers to its total customer-base to take the tally to 2.3 million.

It is also interesting to watch that Sky has brought the total number of its home phone customers to 1.9 million by adding 132,000 new customers. This surge, according to the company, has been on due to the striking discounts offered by the UK ISP to those that simultaneously sign up for Sky Talk.

Sky is also expecting to connect m ore customers to its local loop unbundling (LLU) network for faster broadband speeds and cheaper rates, as more than seventy percent of the local exchanges are upgraded and prepared for complete local loop unbundling, presently. As per the figures for until September 30, the UK ISP had 150,000 fully LLU customers.

According to the chief executive of Sky, Jeremy Darroch, in what was persisting as a tough economic climate they have raised the number of broadband customers joining the company. He added that an increased number of customers were saving money by opting for the triple play bundles of Sky, and high definition was carrying on its good performance.
