BT Open Super-fast Broadband Shops Locally
Word is out that BT, the prominent internet service provider in the United Kingdom, is planning to open local shops that would demonstrate their super-fast broadband services to the interested people who choose to drop in. It is understood that BT will be opening a couple of shop initially.
According to reports, the first of the two stores will be opened this week in Whitchurch near Cardiff, and it will be closely followed by another one being opened in the following week in Musewell Hill, North London. This move from BT is all the more significant for the shops will be first exclusive broadband retail stores to open in Britain.
BT expects that its stores that invite the UK folk to have a look at the scopes of its super-fast fibre optic broadband packages, would also help in convincing the people to go for a home internet service package of the company for the first time.
According to BT Retail’s marketing director, Mathew Dearden, the Whitchurch super-fast broadband store of BT retail was the first showcase of its type to be opened in the high streets of the UK, with one more to follow in London’s Musewell Hill, the coming week.
He expressed his hope that the store would stand to demonstrate to the local folk, the future of super-fast broadband, which was currently being trialled in their regions, was all about, besides enabling them to watch demonstrations of an array of business broadband and home broadband applications that would boost their lives.
