BT reshuffles its corporate members

BT, the largest wholesale broadband provider in the UK, is making progress towards becoming a software-based broadband services company. The company has recently restructured its top management in order to strengthen its future vision to become a dominant player in the UK broadband industry.In the UK, there is already fierce competition heating up among various broadband providers. Every provider adopts and highlights different marketing strategies in an attempt to survive in this battle. Take for instance, Pipex, which has made two acquisitions to compete with majors like BT and Virgin Media. Despites these steps, Pipex has announced disappointing financial results recently.

The cable broadband provider, Virgin Media highlights its headline speeds to lure customers. In this regard, BT also wants to strengthen its position in industry by laying emphasis on new strategies in creating and launching new products.

Accordingly, Andy Green, the Chief Executive of BT Global services will be the new CEO of its new BT divisions -BT Design and BT Operate which look after designing and launching of new products.Francois Barrault, the president of BT International will become successor as chief executive of BT Global Services and also becomes a member in the BT board.BT Global Services, the main wing of BT is expanding business across nations and is expected to grow at a faster rate under the new plans of BT.
