October 31, 2007BT Openzone announces: International travel Wi-Fi vouchers and Deal with iBahn to increase hotspots.Now travellers can stay rest assured about no hidden or extra roaming charges with BT Openzone’s new international Wi-Fi vouchers. Only a fixed voucher price needs to be paid (i.e.) no monthly charges and the same is inclusive of Wi-Fi charges too. BT Openzone 500 Europe covers Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Porutgal, Spain and Switzerland; is valid for 14 days and costs £28 whereas BT Openzone Americas 500 covers Argentina, Canada, Brazil and USA and can both can be used across UK and Ireland; is valid for 7 days and costs £40. Both options allow 500 minutes from the first log-in. Others such as 1 hour, 24 hours, 5 days and 30 days vouchers, for use mainly in the UK, are also available Together with iBahn (going live in November), BT Openzone is adding 1200 hotels to the already active 9,600 hotels around the world for its customers to access Wi-Fi. This twin arrangement will benefit travellers greatly and they will be able to download data and make quicker and cheaper calls compared to the GPRS, GSm or 3G connections. The cost of data downloads is also slashed from £10 to 16p in Europe and 12p in the Americas by using these vouchers.
