BT buys Brightview Group Limited for £15.8m

BT, the major broadband provider in UK is all set to buy Brightview Group Limited, the broadband provider owned by Brightview plc. The deal is estimated to be worth £15.8m in cash, however, the acquisition has to be approved by Brightview's shareholders.

The customer base of Brightview is estimated to be more than sixty thousand, and the revenue comes around £11.0m and EBITDA has been calculated to be around 3.0m as of June 2006.Brightview had its inception in April 2001 as a small ISP but grew as company with high reputation for its high-quality customer and technical support. The popular ISP brands like Madasafish and Global Internet come under the network of Brightwork. Together the award-winning ISP, Waitrose is another popular brand owned by Brightview. In addition, Brightview is also set to start its GreenBee which will provide both internet services and telephony service.Commenting on the developments, Ian Livingston, BT Retail chief executive, said: "BT already provides the
