BT and O2 Delivers Fastest Fixed-line Business Broadband

A fresh five-year agreement has been reached upon by popular broadband service providers in the United Kingdom – BT and O2. If one is the prominent fixed-line broadband provider in the country, the other is the UK’s leading mobile broadband provider.

This deal struck between the two internet service providers is expected to deliver business broadband services of fixed-line kind. The fresh contract for five years will see that BT Wholesale underpins O2′s entry to the country’s business communications market.

Here, BT will not only design and manage, but also would operate a dedicated centre for service management and order portal. The partnership broadband offer package from O2 would aim at providing all business telecoms needs with a unified solution, which includes broadband, data, fixed-line and mobile.

According to Ronan Dunne, O2′s chief executive officer, working with BT Wholesale gave them presently the opportunity to offer their business customers a genuine end-to-end service that accommodates data, mobile and unique consultancy that they provided already, besides mobile solutions.

He added that the contract offered a thrilling prospect of improving its product range for the business broadband market. Meanwhile, BT Wholesale’s recent announcement that it was also pondering over a partnership with Vodafone with a view to help the latter come forth with fixed-line communications for the upcoming businesses of the country.
