October 5, 2007BT and FON to setup wordwide wi-fi communityBT, the major UK broadband provider and FON, the Argentina based wireless broadband company have jointly decided to allow their customers to access their hotspots present worldwide with an aim to build the world’s largest wi-fi community. The plans will enable the BT Total customers who are estimated to be over three million and the customers of FON which is reported to own a large number of hotspots at various locations worldwide to get free access to the hotspots of the two ISPs. If you have already taken BT Total Option 2 or 3 which provide you BT’s Black Hub, a wireless router that connects you to BT Openzone to access internet wirelessly, you will be asked by BT to join the wi-fi society. In case you are not with BT, all you need to do is to buy a FON Community Wi-Fi router and register for the BT FON Community. After that, you can get wi-fi access from home or anywhere on the globe where the hotspots of these two companies are available. | ||
