Broadband video downloads

A number of broadcasters are planning to provide video download service with the support of broadband internet connections. The Guardian states that the Entitled Project Kangaroo, the proposal, is thought to be under discussion by the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. This would allow the customers to download episodes of their most wanted soaps from the same place.

From a reliable source, it was found out that the project intended to “do for broadband what Freeview did for digital televisions”. According to the information given by The Guardian, it is to be noted that the service is likely to have been stimulated by the digital TV facility Freeview and is also legally responsible to face examination from broadcast regulator Ofcom.

In the intervening time, the recently launched broadband service by ITV is anticipated to make available the access to a range of programmes to the public, including This Morning and The X Factor.
