Broadband performs best with fibre optic lines

Recent studies have shown that fibre optic lines can be the best substitute for broadband lines than aluminium and copper being laid for telephone lines. Optical fibres are accomplished to provide data transfer speed up to 100 Mbps, which is much better than the regular telephone lines. Consumers using Virgin Media broadband connections are gaining a lot of profit from this type of connections.

BT’s 21CN or the 21 century service is probably planning to combine fibre and copper wires for better broadband connectivity. BT is planning on for a connection with good speed that depends upon the area in which the customer lives. BT is planning to lay 21CN lines by the year 2010, but the process may take a little longer.

The broadband expert Jason Lloyd said that some rural areas will get this benefit a little longer, only by the year 2015. He also mentioned that the work scale will create some delays and some places will have to wait for years before they see the 21CN in their homes. BT portrays its 21CN service is considered as the next generation infrastructure which will empower broadband customers.
