Bournemouth Gets 100Mbps Fibre Broadband
Reports say that the first connections of superfast 100Mbps broadband service have been installed in fifty homes in Bournemouth by Fibrecity, a part of the i3 Group. Incidentally, this is the first connections pertaining to the national fibre optic superfast broadband network, which is boasted by the company as the only broadband network in Britain that renders upfront fibre-to-home broadband experience. More, theu claim that the network is also capable of providing the next generation digital services including IPTV.

Bournemouth, fortunate to be the first city to enjoy the fresh connections, from a select lot of fifteen towns as well as citywide fibre optic networks intended to be laden across Britain by Fibrecity. This project of Fibrecity is expected to complete over the next 10 years. A unique aspect with this network is that here a couple of fibres installed to every property that is connected to the network of Fibrecity.
The concept of two fibres refer to a scheme where, the first one entitles the home users to access paid services such as the 100Mbps broadband, telephony and IPTV, as the second fibre, a 40Mbps one, stays dedicated to the council for being engaged to deliver local services like health services and community TV. According to the company, the network would equally benefit the businesses as well as homes obviously transcending the 2Mbps broadband for all concept of the UK government.
The Bournemouth homes that have been connected with the superfast network are very much expected to showcase the infrastructure capabilities of Fibrecity that also is expected to grow in stature over the coming months by about 2,000 homes a week. However, the most significant part is certainly the second fibre that offers the councils with every installed connection, a network dedicated to deliver the services in a unique way.
