Bicester to get 4G mobile broadband soon
Residents and businesses in Bicester will become one of those several towns to get super fast mobile broadband from this week. This town has been included under the 4G coverage launch.
EE already offers 4G service to Oxfordshire and has also launched its service in Milton Keynes from this week. The announcement was made after Oxfordshire County Council reported that it has awarded a contract to BT to lay faster broadband to businesses and homes in the county. Under the plan, atleast 90% of the premises in Oxfordshire are expected to get more than 24Mbps before the end of 2015.
Reports say that EE 4G covers about 60% of the population in UK and by the end of next year 98% of the population will be covered. About 99% of the population already has 2G and 3G coverage. The 4G launch will help remote villages in Bicester that would not be benefited with Oxfordshire broadband project.
