August 31, 2007Be modifies its broadband package for light usersBe, the UK broadband provider who offer ultra-fast broadband packages based on ADSL 2+ technology has made changes in the product line up. Its light user's package Be lite which had been offering 24 MB broadband with 4 GB monthly usage allowance would not be available, instead, a new package Be Value has been launched by the provider. Be Value will have 8 MB download speed and unlimited download but its price will remain £14 a month. The package will be available with free Be Box wireless router, however the customers need to pay one time £24 connection fee and sign up for a year's contract. Compared to the older version, this light package will offer better upload speed (1.3 meg). It seems Be customers of other two packages (Unlimited) can opt this new package and get their present services downgraded. Be Unlimited packages which are expensive do not demand the users to commit for twelve month contract length, however, the new package, which is slower but cheaper will tie the customers with a 12 month contract. | ||
